Discovery projects

Our two discovery libraries together with our two prioritised preclinical compounds provide Movetis with a solid and deep portfolio of potential new compounds to take into clinical development. The current lead compounds each target different and unique receptors and address different GI disorders with a clear unmet need. Because of their mode of actions a number of these compounds also have potential effects in areas outside of GI.

The two discovery libraries of each more than 600 ligands are investigated in partnership with the universities of Ghent, Leuven and Rotterdam (NL). In 2007 and 2008 we received over 3 million euros from the Flemish government (IWT) in support of these 2 projects.
