Our ambition is to become a successful European specialty GI company based on the quality and expertise of our people and the innovative products we are developing.

We are at an exciting point in our short history following the recent EU approval of Resolor (prucalopride) for the symptomatic treatment of chronic constipation in women in whom laxatives fail to provide adequate relief. We intend to sell Resolor ourselves in selected markets in the EU and are currently starting to build our own commercial organisation ahead of the product’s first launch which is anticipated in Q1 2010.

We plan to do this for those products or in regions where the optimal clinical development strategy and/or effective commercialisation of these medicines and medicinal candidates require resources and skills that are best accessed through partnerships.

We also intend to make our development expertise in GI accessible to other partners by complementing our existing drug portfolio with selective acquisitions or in-licensing of additional drug candidates and drugs with novel modes of action or attractive competitive profiles in our priority GI indications.
