The primary discovery platform aims to identify new compounds for the treatment of secretory diarrhoea: compounds known to inhibit the secretion and enhance absorption. The new compounds will be developed for treatment of travellers’ diarrhoea and diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome as well as other forms of diarrhoea.

A second platform is targeted at identifying new prokinetic compounds with even more pronounced efficacy and showing a different receptor and drug interaction profile.
