Movetis is a young, dynamic company that does not (yet) make a profit, but nevertheless we recognise our social responsibilities. We strive to provide our employees with the safest possible workplace and to promote their health and well-being. We are also committed to the better distribution of health for all and a more supportive world.
One way in which we act upon this commitment is to set aside certain amounts that would otherwise have been spent on non-business critical “nice-to-haves”; instead we pledge these funds to social causes and charities.
We also put a high priority on the strict respect of all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations. In addition, we recognise that, as we grow, so will our responsibilities to our employees, the community and the environment.
The initiatives Movetis supports are:
Plan Belgium
As an independent non-governmental organisation Plan Belgium is part of Plan International. It is a non-political, non-religious organisation without government interference. Children and respect for their rights are the focus of all the activities they have in the 66 countries they are active in. Plan Belgium develops programmes in three different domains: children in difficult circumstances, sexual and reproductive rights and access to quality education. Movetis supports Plan Belgium by sponsoring a Plan Child for every baby or grandchild that is born in the Movetis employees’ families.
More info on how the funds are used and for which projects can be found on projects Plan België.
Talander
Talander is an active community where young people with special needs live. It’s a community where caring for these people is the central goal. It offers space for each individual, is a safe haven for development where people connect to the outside world through the work they do. The former farm where they live is transformed into an organic garden. The different animals at Talander get looked after by the people living in the community.
We support this community through participating in the projects they organise, like the Talander marathon in September 2008.
